Mind Body & Eating

February 16 - February 18

We all know that stress is bad for our health, but how is it showing up in our eating habits? Why do people with food sensitivities usually become more allergic to food instead of less? What makes us yo-yo when we diet?

Join Caspar Poyck, creator of Digestive Therapy (c), and Jenna Switzer, Yoga & Wellness Manager for Strathmere, as they create a weekend retreat to explore and understand your body in a new way.

Caspar will lead open and playful teachings on the science of MindBody medicine. Through his interactive teachings, you’ll learn to recognize how digestive issues, constipation, inflammation, reflux, allergies, etc, are affected more by your Autonomic Nervous System than by your diet.

Jenna’s classes, woven throughout the weekend, will combine light-hearted yoga practices with anatomical wisdom; bringing physical balance to the emotional explorations. Jenna’s inclusive style will help yogis of all experience integrate Caspar’s teachings through movement.

Strathmere’s Executive Chef, Angelo Camposarcone, will create menus for the weekend that highlight simple natural ingredients, taking the mystery out of nutritious healthy foods & balanced eating. Throughout the weekend, Angelo’s menus will demonstrate Strathmere’s food philosophy with “Field to Plate” & “100% Handcrafted, Scratch Kitchen” menu options, taking you on an exciting food journey!
